Tracy and I are in such a neat season right now. Only 30 more days until the birth of our child, Harold Luke Briscoe. The due date is November 21. In actuality he could come any week now.
We can’t wait to see that little cute curly-headed, caramel skin baby. Honestly, I just can’t wait to hold him. I can’t wait to walk around the house with him. I cant wait to sing to him. I long to frame his world and speak life to him.
One of the coolest things about being married and Luke coming is to see Tracy grow in her role of a mother. It’s actually very attractive and makes me feel whole. I love it when she speaks to Luke when he is moving in her belly. She starts talking to him in this cute voice and says how much she loves him. It means a lot to have the woman that I love, love my baby boy.
I love that my little brother, David Briscoe has moved here. I know that he’s going to be an amazing Uncle to Luke. He’s excited for him to be here. It’s just really cool how God is expanding the Briscoe family here in Jacksonville. I look forward to the day sitting around the table with David, Luke, and Tracy and just talking and laughing together as a proper family.
It’s been neat to see Tracy’s mom and my mom get so excited about their first grandson. It’s gonna be a really fun holiday season! We already have the Christmas lights up and Christmas music playing in the house. It’s going to be a wonderful time with our family in a couple of weeks here.
Tracy and I have felt so loved by our friends throwing baby showers for us the past couple of weekends. We were so grateful to receive all the presents and gifts for Luke. I think it’s one of the most beautiful things about life; to be able to do life with your closest friends and having them celebrate you and you celebrating them in defining moments in our lives.
We can’t wait to see our precious boy and raise him to be the man of God that our heavenly father has called him to be.
I’m Harold Dorrell Briscoe. Thanks for reading.
