Words can’t even describe the feeling of seeing Harold Luke. Everything about the delivery was smooth and exciting. When I first saw him come out I started laughing uncontrollably. I literally was overwhelmed with Joy when he came.
The whole experience was very surreal for me. We’ve been waiting so long for him to come and after a couple hours of labor he just popped right out. I’m so thankful to see him. Probably one of the best experiences of the day was watching him get a bath in the nursery. I just sat outside the door and looked in the window as the nurse was cleaning him up. I must’ve stood and looked at him for over an hour outside the window.
Later that night I was holding him and he looked into my eyes and I just started crying. I just started praying over him and speaking life over him. He makes the cutest sounds and he barely ever cries. This whole experience is better than I ever thought. Tracy did amazing. So proud of her. I’m just so grateful for what God has done in my life and bringing this treasure in to our world.
I just love watching him at night as he sleeps and when he’s awake. Period. Tracy says that we could just stare at him all day long. Having my mom and Tracy’s mom here and my little brother made the whole experience that much better. And then all of our friends and extended family came by that day after she delivered. Luke was 8 pounds and 8 ounces. A healthy baby boy.
I’m Harold Dorrell Briscoe. Thanks for reading.
