The Launch Party

I want to write and just thank you so much for praying for The Young Professionals Launch Party last Thursday. The event was a success! Every time we stretch our faith in areas of ministry we tend to learn what we did well and didn’t do well. We certainly made mistakes last Thursday, but we also did a lot of things right.

I’m so proud of all the young professionals that volunteered to make this night such a success. We must of have had at least 60 people over the course of two days that helped set up the rotunda, served on the worship team, greeted the people, etc. We could not have done this event without an army of volunteers. The launch party showed me that the young professionals ministry is not built on the talents and gifts of a few, but on the sacrifices of many.

Our social media strategy worked great. We had close to 150 first time guest. Many of them came because they saw an advertisement on their Facebook fan page. I’m excited to see the fruit that will yield from our intentionality with social media.

It was great to finally spread out and be in the auditorium. We have come along way since meeting in DOCS coffeeshop two years ago. I feel like the young professionals are really starting to believe that our group has the potential to appeal and be culturally relevant to thousands of other young adults in the city. Anything is possible. God is moving.

I’m Harold Dorrell Briscoe. Thanks for reading.
