The Holy Spirit

Last night we concluded our series, “How to Break the Power of Sin.” It was a four-part message series on practical steps we can take to break the dominion and control of sin in our personal lives. We preach about making disciples and advancing God’s kingdom, but how can we advance the Lord’s kingdom if the reality and reign of God isn’t being experienced in our personal lives. Since May we’ve been talking about sin, it’s consequences, and how to defeat it’s power in our lives.

Young Professionals was incredible last night. The Holy Spirit moved in a mighty way in the hearts and minds of the men and women that came. The spiritual climate is rising in the group. People are experiencing the presence of God and are living victoriously. It’s a joy to be a part of it all. We’ve seen people get healed of physical infirmities, receive prophetic words, and receive God’s saving grace.

I cut my message short last night and didn’t have time to talk about the practical steps one can take to experience a deeper fellowship with the Holy Spirit. If you’re reading this blog and if you’re a young professional, please come over to our home on Sunday night at 7:30pm. I’m going to essentially finish my message at Late Night. God is moving! We will rise as Christ was raised to life! Press in to God like you never have before. Fast, pray, journal, serve others, ask the Holy Spirit to fill you and give you spiritual gifts. I’ll leave you with this scripture…

Then, after doing all those things,
I will pour out my Spirit upon all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy.
Your old men will dream dreams,
and your young men will see visions.
In those days I will pour out my Spirit
even on servants—men and women alike.

Joel 2:28-29

I’m Harold Dorrell Briscoe. Thanks for reading.
