Two days ago, Tracy and I celebrated our third anniversary. I don’t know if there’s anything special about it being number three. Obviously, we’re still pretty much newlyweds and have a lot to learn about marriage, but I think our marriage is amazing. I feel that we’ve lived through a lot during these last three years and have done fairly well at navigating through the unpredictability of life. She is my lover, best friend, and teammate. I’m so grateful for her.
A couple things that I love about Tracy:
Brutally honest Which I absolutely adore. The girl doesn’t have a political bone in her body. I love how frank and blunt Tracy can be. I never have to scratch my head and wonder what she means. She will tell me exactly what she feels at any given time and I appreciate that. I appreciate that she doesn’t want to just butter me up and tell me lies to keep my ego high. She will always provide an honest assessment of the things I do and the words I say.
Amazing Encourager My primary love language is words of affirmation. Thank God I married a wife who knows how to encourage. I believe that it requires great selflessness to look for the good in others and tell them. Instead of looking for her own affirmation all the time, she is constantly looking for ways to build up everyone else. I honestly would not have finished grad school and be the man I am without her cheerleading.
I honestly didn’t know how Tracy would be as a mom. I had never really seen her around kids and didn’t really think she liked them. I have been blown away by how great of a mother my wife is. The attention, detail, compassion, and love she showers on our boy Luke is mesmerizing to watch. I’m so grateful I’m married to a woman who loves being a mom and sees that raising that little curly headed boy is one of the greatest thing she can do on this Earth.
Dynamic Leader Tracy’s passion and charisma has always been incredibly attractive to me. She has immense influence with people. I don’t know if I ever had a type of girl I wanted to marry, but I knew that I wanted a teammate that was going to be in the game with me. I’ve got that and so much more with Tracy Briscoe
You can tell a lot about someone by the friends they choose to walk with. I’m grateful that Tracy has wise, Godly, well-rounded friends. I have seen how they have rallied to her in times of trouble and how she has supported them when they need help. I love her close friends and am thankful they are in our life.
Passionate Christ-Follower My wife’s relationship with Jesus is inspiring. She is zealous for God and building His kingdom. Every morning she diligently reads the Word and is incredibly sensitive to the Holy Spirit. I love watching her galvanize others to radically pursue Jesus.
There is so much more to say, but I hope this gives you all a glimpse of how incredible this woman is.
Tracy, I am so in love with you. Choosing you was the best decision I’ve made apart from accepting Jesus. Thank you for making life so much fun. You’re an amazing woman and I’m a lucky guy.
I’m Harold Dorrell Briscoe. Thanks for reading.
